Also included are examples of how the media use these data sets to report on armed conflict and how these groups collaborate. Following are thumbnail sketches of three large-scale data-collection projects often cited in media reports and scholarly studies. Reviewing some of the producers of conflict event data sets and their specialties helps narrow the search.
